 Opening it’s doors in 1978, Steve Yates started this studio with a 4 track tape recorder, a handful of microphones, and a piano that... lets just say, everyone was very polite to play.

 30 years later it has become one of the premier studios to record jazz and acoustic music in the Chicago area.

This studio now features what many consider to be the very best recording piano in town, a very special Yamaha C7 Conservatory Grand. 

Jim Massoth and Steve Yates handle the engineering duties. Both are seasoned engineers who are also musicians. Between the two they have logged thousands of hours in the recording studio; engineering, playing, and producing music.     

Combine these two engineers with a great piano, a great Hammond organ, Yamaha drums, classic guitar amps, many vintage ribbon microphones, and a studio environment that is comfortable and very conducive to making music, and you have a winning combination for your recording project.
